Asset Management and Municipalities: Engineer’s Role
This presentation will give an overview of what asset management is and will highlight five competencies that many municipalities in Atlantic Canada have been working on over the past several years, through FCM’s Municipal Asset Management Program. Knowing these competencies, there will be a discussion on how the participants can help support municipalities, when working with them in the future.  The presenter, Martha Myers, P. Eng, is a mechanical engineer, with over 30 years' experience in the maintenance, reliability and asset management field.  She is working for AIM Network, which is a federally incorporated non-for-profit organization that works with municipalities to advance asset management practices at the local government level in Atlantic Canada.  Some of the projects that AIM Network has led in Newfoundland and Labrador will be discussed.

This is a free online presentation and the professional development hours can be claimed in PEGNL’s Ethical Practice category. An online link will be sent to event registrants before the date of the event.
