***NEW*** The Standards Council of Canada is seeking individuals to represent Canada on its Mirror Committee to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).

The ISO standard Adaptation to Climate Change – Principles, Requirements and Guidelines is under revision and is being considered for adoption by the Canadian Mirror Committee in 2025. This standard provides a framework for organizations to assess climate change impacts and develop effective adaptation strategies.

***NEW*** Camp 20 invites engineers to attend the 2025 Calling of an Engineer Ceremony to be held April 25, 6:30 pm at Holy Heart Theatre, Bonaventure Ave., St. John’s.  Pre-registration at https://camp20.ironring.ca/register/guests is required, and each registered guest will receive a ticket for admission.  Only ticket holders will be admitted to the ceremony.

Professional Geoscientists Ontario (PGO) published its second article supporting PGO's 25th anniversary article series. The article is titled "Geoscience Regulation: Why the Public Should Care". This article was prepared by a committee of volunteers from PGO working to plan a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Professional Geoscientists Act on June 6, 2025. ***NEW*** The PMI Chapters of Ireland and PMI-NL, are bringing together international expertise in offshore energy and project management, to delivery the first construction event of the year, "From Grid to Growth – Offshore Energy Projects". Municipalities Newfoundland & Labrador's 2025 Municipal Symposium registration is now open. Scheduled May 1 to 3, in Gander, the focus is on providing actionable information to municipal sector attendees, with a theme of Empowering Community Leaders. As part of Memorial University's 100th Anniversary celebrations, the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science presents the MUN 100 Engineering Lecture Series. Join the conversation on engineering in Newfoundland and Labrador - past, present and future. Discover how engineers have shaped the province through historic achievements and cutting-edge innovations. Lecture 1: "NL Innovation Improving the Safety of Life at Sea" by Dr. Randy Billard will take place Thursday, March 20, 2025, 2:00 to 3:30pm in the S.J Carew Building, 4th Floor, EN 4000, Memorial University.

The Canadian Geotechnical Society is celebrating International Women's Day on March 18, 2025, by welcoming Megan van Veen of BGC Engineering Inc. to present a one-hour webinar titled 'The importance of mentoring and allyship in developing our geo-professional workforce'. PVC Pipe Association (PVCPA) is hosting a series of educational webinars from March to May 2025. These webinars offer educational and informative workshops to support the use of PVC piping in water and wastewater systems. The 2025 Atlantic Engineering Hockey Tournament (AEHT) will be held in Saint John, NB on April 11th-12th, 2025. The annual hockey tournament has been held at various locations throughout the Atlantic Provinces over the past 31 years.
