***NEW*** The Camp 20 will hold the 2023 Ritual of the Calling of an Engineer on April 26, 2023. The event will be held at the Surgeon Lieutenant-Commander W. Anthony Paddon Building, St. John’s. Obligated engineers are invited to attend. Space is limited, so those who wish to attend must pre-register on Camp 20’s website


The Corporation of the Seven Wardens, a not-for-profit organization responsible for the Ritual of the Calling of an Engineer (iron ring ceremony) have issued a call for expressions of interest for replacing the poems currently used in the Ritual. The intent of the replacement is to help make the ceremony more inclusive and to reflect the diversity of contemporary society. If you are interested in responding to the call for interest or know someone who is, more information can be found at CSW POEM EOI (ironring.ca).

The 30 by 30 Initiative is the national goal shared by all 12 provincial and territorial regulators and Engineers Canada to raise the percentage of newly licensed engineers who are women to 30 per cent by the year 2030. The goal of the 2023 Conference is to provide a forum for employers to share their efforts and lessons on creating an inclusive workplace. Learn more on how you can participate and register.

EngineersPEI presents Construction Law, May 9 - 10, 9am—12:30pm
The law seems confusing and dealing with lawyers on legal issues seems even more so. This course is not designed to turn participants into lawyers, but to try to help them avoid getting dragged into a legal dispute, alert participants to some of the legal issues they face on the job site, know when to involve a lawyer, and allow the participant to be best positioned in the event of a legal dispute.
