***NEW*** June 23, 2026 marks 115 years of International Women in Engineering Day, where we celebrate the outstanding achievements of women engineers and highlight the need for more women in the engineering workforce. Celebrating this day not only encourages women to enter engineering fields, but it highlights the need for a diverse workforce.

On this day, Advance Women in Engineering's annual virtual summit will take place, which promotes gender equity, diversity and inclusion in Canada’s engineering sector. Hosted by Canadian Consulting Engineer, this year’s event will provide an update and overview of current challenges and achievements, accompanied by special focus on immigrants’ experiences. There will be two keynote presentations, two engaging panel discussions and speaker-specific breakout sessions. For further information and to register, click here.

***NEW*** The ASHRAE Halifax Chapter NL Section is pleased to be hosting a virtual ASHRAE Tech Hour, June 18, 2026. The Tech Hour presentation is a recently published video on "Indoor Environmental Quality – Codes, Impact on People, and Considerations" and will be followed by open discussion on the presentation content. ***NEW*** The Project Management Institute Newfoundland and Labrador Chapter Annual Symposium and Silver Anniversary Gala will be held September 16 and 17, respectively. ***NEW*** On June 29, 2026, learn about the Atlantic Immigrant Career Loan Fund (AICLF). This ISANS-led initiative can help immigrants with permanent resident status or Canadian citizenship obtain training and certification in their chosen fields or related fields in their new home provinces. Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology (SCWIST) will be hosting IGNITE St. John’s: STEM Networking Night, Thursday, July 16, 2026. An inclusive networking event designed to bring together students, early-career professionals, educators, employers, researchers, industry leaders, and community members working across STEM, trades, innovation, ocean technology, defence, and related sectors in Newfoundland and Labrador.
