***NEW*** PEGNL is looking for experienced professionals to help review the experience of those applying for licensure by serving as Volunteer Assessors in the Competency Based Assessment (CBA) framework. While all areas of expertise are welcome, we are looking for additional assessors with experience in mechanical engineering, process engineering and chemical engineering. If you have been licensed for at least 5 years and are interested in learning more about becoming an assessor, please apply on our website.

June 23, 2026 marks 115 years of International Women in Engineering Day, where we celebrate the outstanding achievements of women engineers and highlight the need for more women in the engineering workforce. Celebrating this day not only encourages women to enter engineering fields, but it highlights the need for a diverse workforce.
On this day, Advance Women in Engineering's annual virtual summit will take place, which promotes gender equity, diversity and inclusion in Canada’s engineering sector. Hosted by Canadian Consulting Engineer, this year’s event will provide an update and overview of current challenges and achievements, accompanied by special focus on immigrants’ experiences. ***NEW*** PEGNL is partnering with TechNest Community for T.E.A. in the Park 2026. An annual outdoor community mixer bringing together professionals, students, and innovators from across the technology, engineering, and creative industries in Newfoundland and Labrador. This year's event expands its scope to create a structured yet accessible space that fosters authentic collaboration, cross-disciplinary connections, and community engagement within NL's growing innovation ecosystem. The event is scheduled July 15, 2026 from 4pm to 7pm at Bannerman Park, St. John's. Registration is free, click here to register.

On June 29, 2026, learn about the Atlantic Immigrant Career Loan Fund (AICLF). This ISANS-led initiative can help immigrants with permanent resident status or Canadian citizenship obtain training and certification in their chosen fields or related fields in their new home provinces.
