***NEW*** PEGNL will be holding its Annual General Meeting virtually on June 14, 2024 from 11:00am – 1:00pm NDT. To register for the AGM, click here.


***NEW*** Call for Volunteers to join the PEGNL Small Fishing Vessel Safety Task Force. Are you passionate about maritime safety and environmental sustainability? Do you have expertise in naval architectural engineering, small fishing vessel design, environmental stewardship, or workplace safety? If so, you may be interested in volunteering for a PEGNL task force aiming to better understand and address potential safety and environmental issues concerning the regulation of small fishing vessel design. ***NEW*** On May 23, engineering regulators from each jurisdiction came together to sign a National Statement of Collaboration, strengthening harmonization, innovation, and collaboration for engineers across Canada. 

The statement reflects regulators’ renewed commitment to work together to enhance international and national mobility, further protect the public, and increase regulatory efficiency.

This signed statement aims to: 

  • Promote long-term commitment of signatories to collaboration and the identification of harmonization initiatives within the regulatory framework.
  • Strengthen collaboration and harmonization among engineering regulators.  
  • Define roles and responsibilities between engineering regulators and Engineers Canada.

***NEW*** Geoscience Education and Outreach Network (GEON), is a brand new online network, which brings together individuals passionate about geoscience education and outreach. It's the first digital space dedicated to those interest in geoscience. GEON provides an informal and interactive platform for professionals, educators, and enthusiasts from across the sector to share opportunities, seek and offer funding or support, and stay informed about the latest developments. It is also the home of a huge range of educational resources, from lesson plans and teaching materials to interactive activities and virtual field trips. GEON members have the opportunity to showcase their work, share success stories, and contribute to the growing library of resources available to inspire the next generation of geoscientists.

***NEW*** Energy NL's Conference & Exhibition will take place June 4 to 6, 2024, at the St. John's Convention Centre, St. John's, NL. PEGNL will be attending as an exhibitor and welcome the opportunity to continue our outreach efforts with stakeholder groups.
