This Guideline describes how and when a professional member’s stamp and a permit holder’s stamp shall be used for authenticating professional documents.
Guideline for Permit Holders and Companies Employing Engineers and Geoscientists
This Guideline specifies when a permit to practice is required. It also outlines the requirements of organizations operating under a permit to practice and the expectations of non-permit holding companies that employ engineers and/or geoscientists.
Guideline for Areas of Practice Spanning Engineering and Geoscience
This Guideline explores the potential areas of overlap between geotechnical or geological engineering and engineering geology. Guideline for the PEGNL Code of Ethics By-Law
Professional engineers and geoscientists have an obligation to conduct themselves, and practice their professions, in accordance with established and commonly accepted ethical standards. The purpose of the Code of Ethics Guideline is to expand on each tenet of the Code of Ethics and clarify what is normally expected of a reasonable and prudent professional licensee in situations involving each tenet. This guideline contains hypothetical examples to provide illustrations of the types of situations where the Code may be compromised; any similarity to actual persons or events in these illustrations is coincidental.

This Guideline is intended to educate, provide guidance, and to encourage professional members and permit holders to be proactive in the protection and stewardship of the environment and promote sustainable development.
Guideline for Preparation of Engineering and Geoscience Drawings and Technical Specifications
This Guideline outlines the overall framework which Engineers and Geoscientists should follow in the development, review, and authentication of drawings and technical specifications.
