The Engineers and Geoscientists Act, 2008 (The Act) provides PEGNL with its mandate and authority to regulate the engineering and geoscience professions in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Engineers&Geoscientists Regulations 2024
The Engineers and Geoscientists Regulations, 2024 specify: i) the requirements for registration and renewal for various membership categories ; ii) the requirement for professional development, and iii) the discipline process.

Professional engineers and geoscientists have an obligation to conduct themselves, and practice their professions, in accordance with established and commonly accepted ethical standards.
